Sleepless night

It’s 12 degrees outside. I found myself unable to sleep after dozing for 3 hours. Maybe its the cold, or the noises that the building makes. I try not to look around in the dark, afraid that I’ll make out something from the shadows. Pondering whether its justifiable to turn on the heater or should I just wrap the blanket around myself and force to sleep
